Music piracy is on the rise. Even with the recent busts of Kazaa users people still arent worried. You can still find any song and many people still share gigabytes of music. The RIAA recently busted 50 people to prove a point. Thats 50 out of the millions of users who are on these peer to peer networks. Almost half of those busts were kids who didnt even know any better.

The problem with music piracy is that people dont really consider it theft. They use the mp3 music search program and listen to the songs they want. Theres no physical boundary blocking them from doing anything wrong. They arent going into the store and physically taking anything. People feel its theft to be charged 20 bucks for a CD in the first place.

Who would want to waste money on CDs anyways? Theyre the lamest gifts you can get people these days. No one wants a CD for a gift. Its like giving someone a dollar. Id rather just do an mp3 music search for the whole album and then burn it. Thatll take me maybe a half hour and I wont have to leave my house.
